VGA Related Problems

If there is no VGA output, then check the following:-
  • Make sure the VGA lead from the monitor is tightly secured to VGA output from the desk
  • Open the desk and press on the VGA card to ensure it's sitting firmly in its socket.
  • If the above fails, there are a few hardware checks to do.

Borris I motherboards can now use both old and new generation VGA cards.
A special software version is now available from our download section.
The software is called :-
Pearl 2000 Borris 1 (algVDU card) - 9th October 2000
Please contact an Avolites representative before installing this software.

Borris II motherboards can use both old and new generation VGA cards. The latest version of the software must be used and a slight modification made to the metalwork on the output panel to allow the VGA card to sit securely in place.

Some of the earlier BORRIS I motherboards did not include the facility to run a VGA monitor on the desk so an upgrade kit may be required.
The console will have to be sent to Avolites for the upgrade - quote Part Number 8002-3000.
