The BORRIS I motherboard comes with 1Mbytes of RAM as standard.
If you are using the SHAPE GENERATOR function on the desk a lot of the memory gets used up it is advisable to use the extended memory slots.
Using extended memory may also prevent the desk from locking when large shows are stored in the memory.

If extended memory is used the desk is capable of storing 2MB of information.

The BORRIS II motherboard comes with 2Mbytes of RAM as standard.

Boot Up In AVOS
On both BORRIS motherboards there is a set of eight links.
If the jumper is placed over the two links and then the desk is powered up this will automatically boot the desk up in AVOS, from this menu you can update the software and AVOS 


With the Pearls, if you are using the latest software you can hold down Preset ADD's 21 & 30, then power up the Pearl. This will boot the desk up directly into AVOS

Installing New Software
Download the latest software for your product from our website.

On the you will have downloaded the latest version of the 
Program, AVOS, and Cached personality files.
  • Enter AVOS menu
  • Insert the program disk in the disk drive and press [E] AVOS Extender
  • Hit [ENTER] when prompted and wait for the software load up. After the AVOS has been loaded the desk will restart.
  • Go back into AVOS and press [B] Burn a New Program.
  • Hit [ENTER] when prompted and wait for the software load up. After the program has been loaded the desk will return back into AVOS mode.
  • Then just to be on the safe side Verify the program disk against what's stored in the memory by pressing [C]
  • Hit [ENTER] when prompted and wait for the software to be verified. When it is completed press a key. The desk will return back into AVOS mode.
  • If there were any problems in during the verification stage re-burn AVOS and the software.
  • Then finally in AVOS mode select Wipe All & Start Desk by pressing [1]

At this stage the desk might lock up, if this happens then you will need to carry out a hard WIPEALL
