FAQ 10001
How do I perform a hardware WIPEALL?

  1. Firstly, save any show data in the console onto a floppy disk.
This is very important as any data in the console will be lost.
    You have been warned!!!
  2. Switch the console off
  3. Lift up the top panel on the console after undoing the screws.
  4. Locate the WipeAll link on the Borris motherboard (see photos below).
  5. Fit a jumper across the two pins and turn the console on.
  6. Wait until the console has properly initialised (about 10 seconds max) and then switch OFF the console.
  7. Replace the jumper onto one leg of the link, close the lid and tighten the screws by turning one-quarter turn clockwise.
  8. Power ON the desk and reload your show from your backup disks.

There is now an alternative method of performing a WIPEALL without having to open up the console. To do this you must be running the latest software on your console.
Click here to go to our Download site to check what the latest version for your console is.

This feature is available on Azure, Pearl and Sapphire consoles but is NOT yet implemented on the Diamond II and III's.

  1. Press and hold preset ADD buttons 21 and 30, then switch ON the desk. (Playback buttons 21 and 30 on the Azure)

  2. The desk will enter the AVOS menu (AVOS date must be June 2000 or later)

  3. Press 1 then hit ENTER to start and execute a wipeall.
