Avolites was in control of
lighting at Scotland’s biggest festival – the T In The Park.
Located amidst the beautiful rolling hills of Balardo near Kinross, this year’s 9th
event was enjoyed by over 50,000 people yielding a myriad of good vibes.
Avolites consoles and dimmers once again proved themselves as the best option for multi-user festival applications.
The main stage featured appearances by The Chemical Brothers, Oasis, No Doubt,
Starsailor and others. Lighting equipment included a Diamond III and a Diamond
II.
The second stage had lighting equipment which was run by Robin Haddow. Desks were an Avolites Pearl
2000 and Sapphire 2000 – enjoyed by LD’s like Nick Jevons (Idlewild) and Leggy (Basement
Jaxx).
A Pearl 2000 run by Niall Smith and Nick McGillion controlled the King Tut’s Wah Wah Hut
tent.
On offer here were some of the best indie sounds of the moment – including Ian
Brown and Badly Drawn Boy amongst others.
The 8000 capacity SLAM tent was the festival’s dance arena, where non-stop best dance grooves were presented by Glasgow-based dance culturists SLAM.
An Avolites Sapphire 2000 and a Diamond III ran the show.
