The most anticipated feature for 2nd
October 2010 is an audio-visual experience combined with DJs, bands,
unique musicians and the impressive Godskitchen Boombox.
Joining us this year are artistes as diverse as MYLO (DJ Set), legendary
British-Pop band The Lightning Seeds, House music diva Crystal Waters,
Electro superstar Steve Aoki, upcoming Dim Mark artiste live duo Motor,
Trance and Techno kings Gareth Emery, Joris Voorn, and uber-exciting
party starters The Cuban Brothers, along with Indonesia’s Remy Irwan,
Anton Wirjono, DJ Hogi, LTN, Adit (RNRM), Angger Dimas, Mahesa Utara,
Mike’s, The Alastair and Bayu Risa.

About Playground:
Playground Festival is a development of the Embassy Club, a brand of
an entertainment complex that head-quartered in Jakarta (2002-2009),
and owns franchises that span various Indonesian cities: Bandung
(2004-present), Jogjakarta (2006-present), and Samarinda (starting
in the 3rd quarter of 2010).
Playground Festival happened ‘accidentally’ in 2006, during the
explosion of the dance music industry, of which Embassy Club Jakarta
was the epicenter, and decided to hold an event that is bigger than
the club’s 2,500 capacity, by using its neighbouring areas of Taman
Ria Senayan complex. This proved to be a success, when 6,000 people
showed up, for a mini festival, right in the heart of the city.
In 2008, with a wider line-up, a decision to hold the event in an
even bigger venue was undertaken, with Carnaval Beach at Ancol
Dreamland being chosen, and Embassy Playground formally morphed into
a serious, regional music festival with a 16,000 head-count in 2008
and 14,000 in 2009. |
