Back in the Fast Lane

Illegal Eagles

Eagles Tribute band in its 11th year of UK and international touring.

There is only 1 Lx guy on the tour so the kit has to be compact and fast to rig. The venues are hugely varied and supply the
generic rig somewhere along the lines of the show rig plan daily.
The Pearl allows me to quickly repatch and re-focus the show daily and is flexible enough to deal
with the "oh so the band are doing that tonight!" moments. The pearl is 11 years old too this year and still going strong:-).

Please note the DMX controlled broom in one of the pictures....this is what happens when the venue don't have any extensions!

My top tip if anyone else does this is to make a virtual dimmer patch for the show on an unused universe and then build the show using that.
In my case D is spare and I patch the house in parallel onto B. This means I can delete all of the previous day's patch on B without
loosing all of the programming on the roller cue. It makes those embarrassing "Oops, I forgot to delete that" moments go away!

A big thanks to Shahid and the software guys who got my visualiser running on my laptop with 2 hours notice!
