Simon started working with theatre lighting while still at school,
working at Bristol Old Vic where he gained experience on numerous productions from Shakespeare to pantomime.
On leaving school in 1995 he commenced his career in musical theatre touring nationally with numerous productions including 42nd
Street starring Gemma Craven and James Smiley, The Pirates of Penzance starring Paul Nicolas, Wayne Sleep’s Celebration of Ballet
and Petula Clark in concert.
His lighting design credits include Antigani at the Bath Ustinov Studio
Theatre, and Return to the Forbidden Planet, Hot Mikado and The Pirates of Penzance at the Bristol Redgrave Theatre, the most recent
being for the hit Rock n’ Roll musical That'll Be The Day.
