I was born in Calcutta, India and did my high school from there. I started getting interested in Lighting while I was in high school and designed, rigged & ran the lights for a number of plays.
I sustained this interest while I studied for an Engineering degree and it followed me into my post graduation.
I completed my studies and started working for CG Alsthom , designing Microprocessor driven DC & AC Motor
drives. This led to designing and making my own dimmers (which I still do).
At the moment, I have my own rental company, a dimmer manufacturing unit and I also work as a freelance designer.
