Bjrnar Mland - a brief history

Started lighting in youth clubs in stavanger at the age of 14. 8 Parcans, and some disco spinners, and simply never grew up from there. But started doing some local bands, school theatres, comedy shows, jazz club concerts, night clublighting, stand-up comedy and rented a lot of equipment to get the jobs done from the company I now work for.
Asked to do some jobs for them every now and then from age 17, more and more often and suddenly I was working here full time...
Started working with movers for concerts at age 16, and programmed them on a Strand GSX or a ETC Express...
Got my hands on a Pearl for the first time four years ago, and have used many desk since then, but will never give up the live feeling of an Avolite desk... Even if I do Company Events or comedy shows...

Portfolio	age14: Discovers the lighting industry age15: some theatre and discolighting age16: mainly schooltheatre lighting age17: Jazzclubs, stand-up comedy, Stavanger International Jazz Festival, Comedy show, some concerts, some jobs for Hove Lysdesign Gets my hands on a Pearl for the first time age18: Continues working for this Company, gets to do everything from coffee making to event productions with lots of fixtures for the first time. age19: gets a full time job in Hove Lysdesign, continues my lighting work, tours and does single jobs with theatre productions, events, local bands and Norwegian stars such as Morten Abel and The Getaway People, and will not stop lighting until the day I am absolutely 100% pleased with a lightdesign and show. That day I can't get better, and if I cannot get better, there's no use in continuing my work in lighting
