The worlds first female Vari*Lite technician and operator, and a fully
qualified electronics engineer, Liz Berry set out as a freelancer in
1990 and soon became the Lighting Designer of choice for acts
including Belinda Carlisle and Madness.
During her first ten years as an LD, Berry ran the whole gamut of rock’nroII, corporate and television shows, and
by the late 90s found herself immersed in the Robbie Williams touring camp.
It was the opportunities afforded to her through working with Williams on tours such as The Ego Has Landed, One For The Rogue
and last summer’s stadium production, which encouraged Berry to investigate possibilities for visuals beyond lighting
design, using video as a lighting tool.
She has also worked
extensively with Bryan Ferry over the last decade, designing both
his solo tours and the 2001 Roxy Music reunion tour.
