| Duffy honored with Best British Female Solo
Artist, Best British Breakthrough Act and Best British Album at the Brit Awards
embarked upon her World Tour in Tokyo this March. Chris Steel, lighting designer had just returned from Australia, when I managed to catch up with him for a chat about his experiences of using Avo equipment on this first leg of Duffy's tour. |

| I asked Chris what he likes best about his
job. "It's what I do! "is his reply. "I meet lots of people. That in itself is enjoyable, it's creative. I have worked on so many brilliant projects. Duffy has been a great person to work with, soulful music and theatrical lighting." Chris used the Diamond 4 “I love the timing function." he says. The Diamond 4 is designed for use on large scale shows, concerts and festivals addressing the needs of lighting designers requiring fast, immediate control of numerous intelligent lights, conventional fixtures and other DMX devices. |

| Chris began his career in lights actually
working for Avo. "My Dad runs Avo USA, " he explains " I started as an electrical engineer building the lights and of course going out at the same time " Chris started using "AVO" equipment around 1994. " I chose Avo for this tour because it is world renowned equipment, you can source it anywhere! " "So Chris,” I said "from the other side of the console, who would you like to see live at the moment? " Absolutely nobody,” he chuckled “unless of course they are paying me!" A fair response from a jet lagged LD after a punishing schedule of 12 shows across the other side of the world! “Festival season is approaching! I love the festival atmosphere." he adds. Don't we all !!" Between June and August that is where you will find me, music festivals all over the world; that way you get a taste of all sorts of artists!" |

| Finally, I asked Chris what the last album
Chris bought was .... " Ummmm.... Kings of Leon and The Verves new one! “ he said It had been a long day! ... A joy to speak with you Chris ... thank you! Lot's of good wishes for the European leg of the tour and look forward to catching up with you over the festival season. You clearly love your Avolife ! |
