| Aziz Adilkhodjaev has joined the Avolites
technical sales team. Uzbekistan born, a fluent Russian speaker and with a background in engineering, mobile telecoms and business administration, Adilkhodjaev fitted the bill perfectly along with the expansion of Avo’s Russian operations. This has recently also seen the appointment of a second distributor – Moscow-based Sofitlight. Adilkhodjaev will take care of technical support and customer care for Russia and the CIS. His duties at Avolites also include specialising in media server technology and its integration with their range of consoles, and he will also manage all of Avolites’ digital assets including photo and video archives, product and training movies. Avolites’ Steve Warren says, “Aziz has already proved his value to the company in dealing with the Russian speaking countries. Having also lived there, he’s familiar with the idiosyncrasies of the financial and economic systems and dealings which is a great asset.” Adilkhodjaev also has some experience and familiarity with architectural lighting as his father is one of Uzbekistan’s leading architects, and it’s something that has interested him since childhood. He says “Joining Avolites has already opened my eyes to many exciting technical concepts. Video has a big future in terms of its integration with lighting and it’s a really interesting area to be involved in. Apart from that, the Avolites ‘family’ is a very welcoming and stimulating atmosphere in which to work”. He is also a keen live music enthusiast which fits in well with Avo’s proactive show-based front line sales team of Steve warren, Dave Parry and Phil Blue. |
