Avolites Training in Bangkok

Bangkok: Total Solution (TSM) recently conducted a training workshop in Bangkok for the popular Avolites Pearl consoles. The workshop was jointly organized with Lightwave Company Limited and attracted more than 100 lighting operators from rental companies, event organizers and freelancers.

The 2 days workshop was conducted by Dave Perry, Technical Sales Engineer from Avolites and covers training on basic programming using the Pearl Tiger and Pearl 2008 consoles. Dave acknowledges that such training workshops are essential as it imparts valuable knowledge to lighting operators. Dave was also impressed by the enthusiasm of the attendees to gain knowledge during the training.

Jamie Boey, Sales Manager of TSM stated:” We are committed to offer training not only to our existing clients but also give an opportunity to any freelancers who wish to gain more knowledge to upgrade themselves. We believe that with proper training on the use of the consoles, freelance operators will be able to add value to their existing skill sets thus increasing their technical knowledge and capabilities. This will hopefully in the long run translate into better market value for the freelancer’s services and improve the overall standards of Avolites users in our region”.

The workshop was conducted with Vari-lite VL2500 Spot and VL500 Wash together with Studio Due CS4 fixtures thus allowing the attendees to have hands on familiarization with the consoles. Other than training, many issues and feedback regarding the consoles were addressed during the hands on session.

Jamie added: “This workshop was also a valuable opportunity for us to have face to face interaction and obtain feedbacks from our users in Thailand. We believe our users will be more forthcoming with negative feedbacks when these issues are discussed face to face thus allowing us an opportunity to rectify our weaknesses. We are grateful to everyone who found time from their busy schedule to attend this workshop and shared with us their valuable feedbacks. We will continue to conduct more of such training workshops in the future so as to reinforce our after sales support commitment for all our Avolites users in the region”.
