| LD Andy Emmerson used an Avolites Pearl Expert
for the first time in the main arena at the 2007 Hard Dance Awards, staged at
London's Brixton Academy. The event celebrated the best and most innovative hard house sounds of the year and featured hard rocking sets from Lisa Lashes, Edison Factor Live, K90 Live, Lisa Pin Up, the Tidy Boys and many more. Lighting was deigned by Simon Barrington of Production Eye and Emmerson was brought in to direct and operate the show which was essentially a massive dance event, interspersed with the awards part way through he evening - with the party grooving onwards till 6 a.m. Emmerson is a seasoned Avolites user, and he jumped at the chance to use the Pearl Expert. He really liked its speed and power, and elements like the split roller of which he says, "It's incredibly versatile and a joy to use – it makes an already flexible console even more hands-on and instantly accessible". |

| He arranged all his moving lights on one side of the roller and all the generics
on the other – a favorite with all ‘intuitive’ style operators that offers great
versatility. The Pearl Expert was controlling a large rig consisting of High End Studio Beams and Studio-Spots and Martin Professional MAC 2K moving lights, plus Source Fours, moles, strobes and bars of 6 PARs, all of which were supplied by London-based rental company, Color Sound Experiment. |
