Avolites’ sales director Steve Warren and business development manager Koy Neminathan staged a 2-day open workshop in Mumbai, India, alongside their distributor Jagmag Electric, run by the charismatic Atul Sonpal. This featured advanced training on existing Avolites products, including the Pearl 2004, the most popular and widely used professional lighting console in India. The Avolites sales team also took the opportunity of introducing the latest products to the Indian market – the Diamond 4 console range and the eDMX wireless data transmission system. The Workshop was held at the venue One Up in Mumbai. It follows on from a similar more basic training event staged four years ago by Avolites and Jagmag, also in Mumbai. The take up was phenomenal” remarks Steve Warren, with over 110 people attending over the 2 days, “They all wanted to learn more. Many were Avo owners and users who had attended the introductory seminar four years ago, and have been using their consoles extensively ever since then. They ware all really keen to learn more. Their enthusiasm works you so hard that we just love it!” On the agenda were topics like time code, script file management and programming theatre stacks, “People were asking a lot of intelligent and pertinent questions – they were already very knowledgeable, and enthusiastic to increase their programming skills” says Neminathan. Warren and Neminathan both gave presentations on both days, and introduced the new Avolites Video brochure – a comprehensive guide to product features, functions and applications – action packed with examples of the kit being used ‘live’. The Avo team travelled on to India after one of their most successful ever PALA shows in Singapore, and were in buoyant spirits. Atul Sonpal – a famous international LD in his own right - comments, “It was a great honour to have Steve and Koy as our guests here in India. The Workshop was a huge success and it’s great to see real commitment from the manufacturers. By widening everyone’s knowledge and understanding of the Avo consoles generally, everyone will benefit." |
