Lighting control manufacturer Avolites shows its most popular theatre and performance consoles, its ART 2000i installation dimmer and its eDMX wireless control system.
eDMX

The amazingly reliable and simple Avolites eDMX has been used in a variety of high profile events. These include the lighting of the London Eye for the New Year celebrations of 2003 and 2004 and Cameron Mackintosh’s production of Mary Poppins at the Prince Edward Theatre in London’s West End. It was also used on Dublin’s event to celebrate the Expansion of the European Union in May 2004.
The eDMX can be used in the most challenging situations where running data cable is either impossible or a logistical nightmare.
The Avolites eDMX system transfers DMX data across a Wi-Fi radio link - completely removing the need for DMX data cables
eDMX units are easily addressed and user configured, either as transmitters or receivers, allowing the fast set up of “Point-to-Point”, “Point-to-Multipoint” or “Multipoint to Multipoint” DMX Data Transmission Systems.
Each transmit/receive a pair of eDMX units relays data for one DMX universe at full speed, with ranges of up to 1 Km
Avolites ART2000i installation dimmer

The Avo ART2000i Install Dimmer is the installation version of Avolites’ innovative ART 2000 digital dimming series.
The ART2000i dimmer is aimed at theatrical, architectural, leisure and retail applications.
Featuring the same high specification as other ART 2000 series dimmers, the ART2000i is currently available in modules of 24 x 16 Amp units or 12 x 32 Amp. Each Avolites ART Installation System is available in hybrid mixes of the two modules.
The 48-in-to-48-out Hot Patch option is ideal for theatre applications and other types of installations needing this flexibility. It removes the hassle of retrospectively installing a custom hot patch - when it’s often discovered later that a Hot Patch is indeed needed!
Like all Avolites products, the ART2000i Install is practically designed with the end users, robustness and reliability in mind.
All lamps are terminated in the Top Box, allowing the wall units to be installed at the early ages of a site build – when dust, dirt and other environmental hazards are at their most threatening. Once the site is near completion and a dust free zone, the ART2000i Install electronics can be effortlessly added. Once in place, the Live and Neutral conductors for each circuit can easily be disconnected making annual (mandatory) checking fast and simple.
Pearl 2004 console

The Avolites Pearl 2004 is Avo’s most popular ‘live’ lighting consoles, and is used across the globe in all types of applications.
The Pearl 2004 features two elegant dual-speed encoder knobs - custom designed and manufactured for Avo’s high end Diamond 4 console range. These are exactly the right weight and tactility. The console’s optical encoders themselves are still the smoothest in the business!
The front panel uses the same elegant, highly durable, reverse printed, polycarbonate laminate technology as found on the Diamond 4 series.
Pearl 2004 also uses the same professional master faders as the D4 for its 15 Cue Playbacks and Master Faders.
On the output panel, 2,048 DMX Channels are provided on 4 separate DMX connectors, and the internal software OS has been upgraded to the 2004 version with many enhancements including the Colour, Gobo and Beam Tables.
Avolites Diamond 4 Elite lighting console
The D4 Elite console is streamlined to offer the maximum power and functionality in the minimum physical space, recognising the ever-growing need in all applications to use FOH and control spaces expediently. It’s ideal for all areas of professional lighting.
The D4 Elite is fully featured and cased in a smaller, lighter chassis, complete with 14 submasters and 96 assigned playbacks, with direct access to 96 fixtures or cues via the re-assignable Preset Playbacks.
In the D4 range, Avolites wanted to offer a physically smaller console that retained the flexibility and versatility for which Avo products are renowned.
The electronic legending increases set up speed and allows the automatic configuration of a huge programming Palette.
The D4 Elite significantly expands the number of Palettes, and more processing power ensures faster access and response time for all functions. Instant Access features like the live recall of ‘Palettes’ during the show is a hallmark of Avolites and loved by operators.
Increased software capabilities and dual VGA monitors make the console even more versatile, logical and fast to programme. Naturally, the D4 Elite also retains the hands-on intuitive feel that’s made Avolites’ desks the most popular ‘live’ operation consoles worldwide.
Avolites Azure Shadow

The Avolites Azure Shadow 2000 console is a variation on the highly popular Azure 2000 which has enjoyed success in a variety of applications.
The Azure Shadow features all the facilities offered by the Azure 2000 plus the additional functionality of the ‘Schadow’ live playback buttons that have always been integral to Avolites’ consoles. Avolites has focused on customer feedback that revealed experienced users felt more comfortable with the traditional rock ‘n’ roll buttons as opposed to the waterproof membrane of the Azure 2000.
For theatre users, the Avolites Azure Shadow incorporates a new suite of theatrical programming and playback functions. The new console design also allows the specific labelling of these theatre plotting facilities on the front panel.
The small but immensely powerful and highly cost-effective Azure Shadow can control a mixture of up to 200 intelligent fixtures and 200 dimmer channels. It can run 20 separate Sequences or Environments simultaneously and has 50 direct access memories and chases per page with 10 labelled playback pages.
