Chris West has joined Avolites as full time Training Manager.

The post was created to capitalise on the full potential of Avolites’ commitment to product training and support, both onsite and in the demo room. This area of the company has grown exponentially in the last two years, and Avolites has trained over 2,500 people since the comprehensive programme was launched seven years ago.

Chris will be co-ordinating all training schedules as well as overseeing the demo room in Park Royal, West London.

He has just completed a BA Honours degree in Theatre Studies (Stage Management option) at the Welsh College of Music and Drama in Cardiff. Chris is very familiar with the live operation of Avolites products and fully conversant with multimedia control systems like MIDI and timecode synchronisation. Previously he worked at Avolites London for three months last summer and production managed the spectacular Avolites stand at PLASA 99.

Avolites’ Sales Director Steve Warren says, “It’s great to have Chris onboard! In addition to his capacity as Training Manager, his theatre background will be invaluable in spreading the word about the new theatrical functionality of all the consoles”.
