Lighting designer Dave Gibbon designed this year's Dance Tent at Glastonbury Festival (equipment supplied by Utopium), and has also been globetrotting with one of this year's top rock bands - The Charlatans, for which he used a Diamond III. Gibbo is using Avo boards on a wide assortment of corporate events and fashion shows which he's designed this year. He's currently programming an average of 4 different shows a week on various Avo boards.

Dave Gibbon comments on the Diamond III, "The physical size, versatility and accessibility of playback make it ideal. Having instant access to 120 buskable preset focuses is just brilliant!". He also says that wherever you turn up in the world, it's usually a safe bet that an Avo console can be sourced. "That's very reassuring" he adds.

Dan Hardiman is working with Moby - one of the hottest and most popular dance acts in the Y2K universe. He's used a variety of Avo desks throughout the tour - which has itself been through several permutations - including Pearls and Diamond IIIs. At time of writing, Moby was doing the festival circuit carrying specials with Dan using his own Pearl 2000. Moby's headline/full production tour is scheduled for the Autumn.

Dan enthuses, "I like Avo consoles for the Flash and Solo buttons. They are extremely fast to programme and that's crucial when you only have one day - festival style - to build your show". He adds that the resilience of Avo consoles is also legendary! "I roasted my Pearl in America and froze it in Austria and it just kept on going without flinching!".
