Bristol based Stage Electrics have purchased four 48-way Avolites ART dimmer racks - their first Avolites dimmers.
The decision to go with the ART dimmers was made by Stage Electrics Adrian
Searle, who cut the deal with Avolites' Tony Shembish. Three of the dimming systems went straight out on the current Cameron Mackintosh touring production of Martin Guerre and the fourth remained in hire stock.
The Stage Electrics dimmers all feature the RCD option and have custom modified patch bays allowing 24 ways of mains power to be conveniently available for powering moving lights from the patch bay.
Adrian comments, "I went for the ART dimmers because it was the best product available, they offered all the features we wanted and Avolites' reputation for reliability is impressive" Also instrumental in his decision was the depth and comprehensibility of the training and product support which Avolites offer.
Adrian researched the product beforehand and it came highly recommended by the Northern Ballet and The Royal Festival Hall, both of which own ART dimmers.
Stage Electrics have steadily increased their stock of Avo consoles over the last 18 months and currently have four Pearl 2000s with more on the way. Their primary markets include theatre and corporate events/industrials for which the Pearl is ideal.

Date of issue : 23rd March 1999
