Avo Training Meet The Staff Where To Find Us Avo Distributors Technical Appendix How To Get To Avo Avo Guestbook Web Site Legal Notice

Training is undertaken in our Show Room located at Avolites in Park Royal, London.

The Show Room is equipped with a variety of fixtures, for example; Clay Paky, High End, Martin, SGM and Vari*lite.
There is also a generic rig of par cans connected to Avolites dimmers.
This, combined with the Avolites ‘Visualiser’, allows you to train using the real world fixtures.

The training program is informal and normally on a one-to-one basis. This allows you to learn the things you need to know at your own pace.

There is an overwhelming response from past trainees that the investment in an Avolites training course has improved marketability and productivity.

Training courses
are one-day and available most weeks.
Please allow plenty of time before booking as we do get very busy.
If you are interested in training, please contact
Lindsey Markham (our Training Coordinator) at :-

For training in the U.S.A. please contact  Brad  from Avolites America.

External Training.

Onsite training:
We do offer on site training for companies and venues with large groups of people that need training, generally five or more. With onsite training we come to you, using your own console and lighting rig. Additional consoles and Avolites manufactured equipment can be provided at no charge. The training can be tailored to suit your needs for the type of shows or events you do. Costs for on site training are often lower than the cost of sending five people to Avolites London.

Universities and Colleges:
We can offer you a 1 or 2-day workshop on any Avolites console these can be tailored to suit and we will provide Avolites manufactured equipment at no charge.

1-day student workshop:
For up to 15 students. The aim of the course is give students a basic understanding of Avolites equipment and moving light technology. They will get a chance to be 'hands on' with the equipment. We provide the consoles, (unless you have your own). The course is not an Avolites training course, it is designed to give student an insight into the technology, giving them the option to pursue full training at a later date. This is particularly suitable for students not wishing to be lighting designers but are intending to enter other areas such as sound, stage management as well as performing, where an insight into technical areas can be invaluable.

2-day student workshop:
For up to 10 students. This course is designed to train a large group of people on the use of the Avolites consoles. The course involves a training seminar on the console, followed by guided practice sessions. At the end of the first day students are given a task to complete on the second day. For this course, we provide the consoles and visualisers, we can optionally organise the hire of lighting fixtures if required.

We are currently working on developing a 3-day moving light training course, details of this will be available soon.

The charges for these courses are negotiable. For more information on costs and any training course, please contact Lindsey Markham ( our Training Coordinator) at :-
